Introduction:

Founded in 1956 and located in Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the South of China, Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medical University is a higher educational institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine with the integration of education, scientific research, and medical. There are 8,488 students and 2,860 teaching and medical staffs in the University with five affiliated hospitals, one pharmaceutical factory, one affiliated TCM school, nine research institutes and over twenty hospitals for clinic practice. In 2003, it was ranked "excellent" in the assessment on undergraduate education level conducted by the Ministry of Education. As one of the higher educational institutes firstly approved to admit foreign students by the Ministry of, Education of China, it is authorized to confer degrees of bachelor and master. In recent years, it has cultivated hundreds of students and physicians from over twenty countries and area of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

3. Admission Requirment
  1. The applicant is capable of listening, speaking, writing and reading in Chinese, especially of reading Chinese textbooks, and has obtained the sixth level in Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK).
  2. Qualification of high school education (together with the corresponding proofs of educational diploma or certificate and school reports) is required.
  3. The applicant is below 25 years old. However the limit of age can be extended to a certain degree for special cases.
  4. An authorized health certificate is required.
  5. The applicant is expected to abide by the law of the People’s Republic of China and regulations of the university, and respect the social customs of the Chinese people.
  6. Copies of passport should be submitted to the university.
  7. The applicant is supposed to send 8 pieces of recently bareheaded, full-faced photos to the university.

  1. Qualification of Bachelor degree in a medical university or college, or diploma of medical science with two years medical experience and the corresponding proofs of educational degree and diploma are required
  2. The applicant is expected to pass the entrance exam for postgraduate.
  3. The applicant is below 40 years old. However the limit of age can be extended to a certain degree for special cases.
  4. The other requirments are the same as the items mentioned for the undergraduate of Bachelor degree.

1. Specialities:
TCM Elementary Theory, TCM Diagnosis, Chiness Materia Medica, TCM Prescriptions, TCM Healthcare and Cosmetology, Acupuncture and Moxibustion, TCM Massage Therapy (Tuina), TCM Internal Medicine, TCM Surgery, TCM Traumatology and Orthopaedics, TCM Gynecology, TCM Pediatrics, TCM Dermatology etc and their clinical practice.

3. Tution for Each Student
  1. Teaching and Practice in English for Individuals: USD 1000 per month for a period within 2 months USD 800 per month for a period over 3 months
  2. Teaching and pratice in Chinese for Individuals: USD 800 per month for a period within 2 months USD 720 per month for a period over 3 months
  3. The tution fee of teacing and practice for a group over 3 students can be dicounded.
  4. There are five days weekly for studying and practice with a total of 24 academic hours.
 
Accommodation:
  1. The university sets up an overseas students residence, which cost US $ 12 per night
  2. The applicant may have meals in the university's canteen, which costs US $ 2 - 4 per day
