The college is in the prime of life; study has the attainments of the teachers troop. There are 744 teaching researchers, 78 professors and 213 associate professors, as well as 60 people with Doctor’s degree and 218 people with Master’s degree. In addition, there are 200 part-time professors and associate professors from other institutions. There are 12,412 undergraduates and postgraduates and more than 10,000 Chinese and international students enrolled at present.

The college has 2 faculties and 8 departments: Clinical Medicine Faculty, Adult Continue Education Faculty. Preventive Medicine Department, Nuring, Psychiatry, Pharmacology, Information Science, Social Science, Preclinical, Teaching Practice Department. Under these departments there are 65 teaching research sections, 9 research Institutes, 18 research laboratories, one of which is the Institute of Occupational Health and Environmental Medicine, the key laboratory during the 9th 5-years plan of universities in Shandong Province. The college has 16 specialties for undergraduate courses: Clinical Medicine, Clinical Medicine of Traditional and Western Medicine, Stomatology Nurosis and Mental Hygiene, Application Psychology, Preventive Medicine, Medicine Examination (health prosecutor), Nursing (including concerning foreign nursing), Pharmacy, Medicine Preparation Study, Information Management and Information System (medicine information direction), Computer Science and Technology (medicine health direction), Market Marketing, Human Resources Management (medicine health direction, Working and Social Security (medical insurance direction). JNMC has 8 affiliated hospitals, 50 teaching hospitals and 26 university students social practice base which may supply the teaching and 15,000 practice beds.

While making a great effort to provide quality education, the college also makes great efforts to promote scientific research. Since 1987, 596 studies have been carried out, 362 of which appraised; 5822 academic these and 541 treatises have been published at home and abroad; To enhance academic exchange the sponsors the college publishes <The Journal of Jining Medical College> and <Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medical Science>, both of which are issued at home and abroad.
